Join the Pikes Peak Regional Doula Association (PPRDA) on Sunday, July 19th 7pm-8pm at Alliance Breastfeeding Center (located at the southwest corner of North Academy and Vickers, behind the Taco Bell) for their Meet The Doulas event, FREE to parents.
Come meet the Doula Of The Month ~ Desirre Andrews who will be speaking about “The Benefits of Delayed Cord Clamping.” Desirre is a dual-certified Childbirth Educator (CAPPA and Lamaze International), Certified Labor Doula, Certified Lactation Educator, CAPPA Faculty Member, and the President of the International Cesarean Awareness Network. Learn more about Desirre by visiting Preparing For Birth.
This event is free to parents and is a great opportunity to come and find out more about what a doula does, how they can help you have a safe birth and a satisfying parenting experience, and get answers to your questions. After Desirre’s featured presentation, there will be a short talk to discuss the difference between birth/labor doulas and postpartum doulas, then you will have the opportunity to mingle with the different doulas at the event, get their information and maybe find the right doula for you! There will be light refreshments and a drawing for a gift basket.
