Breastfeeding Classes (private and group)
Private breastfeeding classes
- Available for $25/hour in my office / classroom.
- A good way to do a private class is to sign up and pay for the online class. Watch the online portion of the class and look up any materials suggested. Then arrange for a private class to fill in any blanks or answer any additional questions you have.
- I can also teach a private class in your home for $30/hour
- Please call or email to make an appointment, and we can arrange details for payment at that time.
Group prenatal classes to followup with the Online Class
- Available at least once a month (more if the need is there)
- Usually the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6pm. (Check upcoming events for actual dates!)
- Class is around 1 hour and answers any questions you might have after taking the online class. You’ll be able to watch several videos that I can’t show online due to copyright laws, etc. We can also practice some of the positions for nursing that I talk about in the online class.
- Cost is $20 per couple
- Cost is in addition to the access fee to the online version of the class. Go ahead and sign up for that class by registering for a “Breastfeeding Class” membership and you can pay for that there and take the online class at your leisure. - There is an 8 couple maximum per class, so register early! Either call me at (719) 268-1888 or sign up and pay below thru PayPal. You don’t need an account at PayPal to pay by credit card.
Private Pumping Class
- Did you get a pump from a friend or on the internet and don’t know how to use it?
- Does your pump not work as well as it used to? We will go over tips to get more milk when you pump.
- The fee for this service is $25 for up to a half-hour session and $15 for the next half-hour.
- Plan on a half-hour session. It is best to schedule an appointment for after the baby has been fed so that pumping won’t affect the baby’s next feed.
- Please don’t bring older children to this appointment without someone to watch them as it is hard to pump and chase a toddler at the same time. Doing so will most likely extend your appointment past 1/2 hour, causing your fee to go up.
- We can schedule this for after store hours or on a Saturday if you are working outside the home!
- If you want us to troubleshoot your pump, you will need to bring the pump and all it’s pieces with you.
Group Pumping Tips Class
- This class is offered at least once a month (usually the 4th Wed of the Month, but check the calendar to verify!)
- 6-8pm
- Women only at this class please!
- Fee is: $25
- Specially designed for the mom returning to work outside the home, but useful for any mom who plans to pump a good bit.
- I give tips on pumping hands free, how to get the most when you pump, logistics of returning to work and pumping, and more.
- You are welcome to bring your pump since I will observe a pumping session for those who wish it. I can also check your pump at that time to make sure it is working properly.
